Accreditation Overview

The Qelvea Refined Finish Index™

Accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI) provides formal recognition of conformity with a private professional standard for refinement, wearability, and longevity in lash and brow outcomes.

The RFI exists to evaluate how results perform over time, not to prescribe style, trend, or intensity.

Purpose of Accreditation

Accreditation confirms that:

  • submitted evidence aligns with the published RFI criteria
  • outcomes demonstrate consistency, balance, and wearability
  • licensed reference to the Index is justified and controlled

It provides clarity for professionals and transparency for the public.

What Accreditation Represents

Accreditation under the RFI indicates:

  • alignment with a defined private standard
  • assessment based on outcome evidence
  • independent review against published criteria

It does not indicate:

  • regulatory approval
  • statutory certification
  • endorsement by Qelvea
  • guarantee of results

Scope of Accreditation

Accreditation applies only to:

  • the services assessed
  • the evidence submitted
  • the defined accreditation period

It does not automatically extend to all services or future work.

How Accreditation Is Awarded

Accreditation is awarded following:

  1. submission of a self-assessment
  2. submission of outcome evidence
  3. independent assessment against RFI criteria
  4. governance-led decision

Recognition is granted only where conformity is demonstrated.

Accreditation Levels

The RFI recognises measured degrees of conformity through defined accreditation levels:

  • RFI Conformant
  • RFI Advanced
  • RFI Signature

Levels reflect alignment with the standard, not ranking or superiority.

Full details are published separately.

Licensed Use of the Index

Where accreditation is granted, licensed users may:

  • reference conformity with the RFI
  • display approved wording or marks
  • appear on the public register (where applicable)

Licensed use is:

  • non-transferable
  • time-limited
  • subject to renewal
  • revocable

Renewal & Ongoing Review

Accreditation is reviewed periodically to ensure continued alignment.

Renewal typically requires:

  • a short declaration
  • updated outcome evidence

Failure to renew results in expiry of licensed use.

Governance & Impartiality

Accreditation decisions are governed by Qelvea Standards, operating independently from service delivery.

Clear separation is maintained between:

  • assessment
  • decision-making
  • licensing

This protects fairness and credibility.

Misuse & Enforcement

Misrepresentation or misuse of accreditation:

  • undermines the standard
  • may result in suspension or withdrawal
  • may trigger enforcement action

Clear rules protect licensed users and public understanding.

Limitations of Accreditation

Accreditation under the RFI:

  • does not replace professional licensing or insurance
  • does not guarantee individual outcomes
  • does not constitute regulation

It reflects conformity with a private professional framework only.

The Qelvea Refined Finish Index™

Accreditation that measures refinement with clarity and restraint.

Accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ reflects conformity with a defined private standard only. It does not imply endorsement, approval, or guarantee of outcomes.

Lawful Basis for Processing

Personal data submitted in connection with accreditation is processed on the basis of legitimate interests and performance of a contract, where applicable, for the administration of a private professional standard.
