[How Assessment Works]
Private professional framework • Outcome-based assessment • Licensed use only • Independent governance
WHAT THE STANDARD DOES
Defining refinement beyond the day-of result
The RFI exists to address a gap in professional evaluation where outcomes are often judged immediately, rather than by balance, comfort, and longevity.
The standard assesses:
- structural harmony
- symmetry and balance
- softness and flexibility
- everyday wearability
- longevity readiness
It does not prescribe style or aesthetic preference.
WHAT ACCREDITATION MEANS
Recognition based on evidence, not claims
Accreditation under the RFI confirms that submitted outcomes align with the published standard and demonstrate consistency over time.
Accreditation:
- is evidence-based
- is independently reviewed
- reflects measured conformity
It does not imply regulation, endorsement, or guarantee of results.
HOW ASSESSMENT WORKS
A proportionate, outcome-led process
Assessment under the RFI is designed to be clear, fair, and realistic.
Applicants submit:
- a short self-assessment
- a small set of outcome images showing before, after, and in-wear performance
There are no exams, no live observation, and no training prerequisites.
ACCREDITATION LEVELS
Recognising degrees of conformity
The RFI recognises alignment through defined accreditation levels:
- RFI Conformant — baseline conformity
- RFI Advanced — sustained consistency
- RFI Signature — exceptional alignment
Levels reflect conformity with the standard, not ranking or superiority.
LICENSED USE & GOVERNANCE
Controlled reference protects credibility
Use of the RFI name, wording, and marks is permitted only under licence and within a defined scope.
Licensed use is:
- time-limited
- non-transferable
- subject to renewal and review
Clear governance protects licensed users, partners, and public understanding.
PUBLIC REGISTER
Transparency through recognition
Where applicable, accredited practitioners and studios may appear on the public register, showing:
- accreditation level
- scope of recognition
- validity period
The register supports clarity and verification.
