Qelvea Refined Finish Index™
This page explains the evidence required to support an application for accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI).
Evidence is used to assess how outcomes are designed to wear over time, not to evaluate training history, popularity, or stylistic preference.
Purpose of Evidence Submission
Evidence exists to:
- demonstrate conformity with the published RFI criteria
- show intentional design for wearability and longevity
- support fair, outcome-led assessment
Only evidence relevant to the services applied for is assessed.
What Counts as Evidence
Applications are supported by representative outcome evidence, typically consisting of:
- a before image
- an immediate after image
- an in-wear image showing how results settle over time
Each set should represent normal, everyday work, not exceptional or staged results.
Image Requirements
Submitted images must be:
- clear and in focus
- taken in consistent lighting where possible
- unfiltered or minimally edited
- representative of standard service outcomes
Images should demonstrate balance, refinement, and wear-readiness rather than intensity or trend.
Explicit Image Handling & Privacy Clarification
Submitted images must be anonymised and must not include identifying information relating to clients.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- full facial identification
- names, contact details, or personal identifiers
- metadata that could identify an individual
Images are processed solely for assessment, governance, licensing, renewal, verification, and enforcement purposes related to the administration of a private professional standard.
Images are not used for marketing, promotion, or public display.
Applicant Confirmation
By submitting evidence, applicants confirm that:
- they have obtained and shared evidence lawfully
- they have appropriate permission to submit the material
- evidence has not been misrepresented or materially altered
Responsibility for lawful collection and submission of evidence remains with the applicant.
What Is Not Assessed
The following are not considered as evidence:
- testimonials or reviews
- training certificates or course history
- social media metrics
- awards or popularity indicators
Assessment is based on outcomes only.
Quantity of Evidence
Applicants should submit:
- a sufficient number of representative case sets per service
- enough evidence to demonstrate consistency, not volume
Excessive submissions do not influence assessment outcomes.
Evidence Quality & Integrity
Evidence must:
- reflect genuine service outcomes
- not be digitally manipulated to alter results
- not be staged or misrepresented
Misrepresentation may result in refusal, suspension, or withdrawal.
Storage & Retention
Evidence is:
- handled confidentially
- stored securely
- retained only for as long as necessary to administer accreditation, renewal, or governance processes
Further detail is provided in the Privacy Policy.
Clarifications & Queries
If clarification is required:
- applicants may be asked to provide additional context
- requests are limited to what is necessary for assessment
No additional evidence beyond scope will be requested.
