Application Pack

Qelvea Refined Finish Index™

This Application Pack explains what is required to apply for accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI).

Accreditation reflects conformity with a private professional standard and is subject to assessment. Approval is not automatic.

1. Purpose of the Application Pack

This pack is designed to:

  • clarify eligibility and scope
  • explain evidence requirements
  • set expectations before application
  • support fair and consistent assessment

It does not provide training or guarantees.

2. Who May Apply

Applications may be submitted by:

  • individual practitioners
  • studios or service providers

Applicants must be operating within professional beauty services relevant to the scope applied for.

Accreditation applies only to assessed services and submitted evidence.

3. Services Eligible for Assessment

Applicants may apply for one or more of the following:

  • Lash Lifts
  • Brow Lamination
  • Brow Shaping / Tinting
  • Other closely related services (subject to review)

Each service is assessed independently.

4. What You Will Be Asked to Submit

A. Application Form

You will complete an application form confirming:

  • applicant details
  • services applied for
  • professional approach summary

Submission of an application does not guarantee accreditation.

B. Outcome Evidence

Applicants must submit representative outcome evidence.

For each service applied for, submit:

  • 2–3 case sets (recommended)

Each case set should include:

  1. Before image
  2. Immediate after image
  3. In-wear image (showing how the result settles over time)

Evidence must be:

  • recent
  • representative of normal work
  • anonymised
  • unfiltered or minimally edited

5. What Assessors Review

Evidence is reviewed against published RFI criteria, including:

  • structural harmony
  • symmetry and balance
  • softness and flexibility
  • wearability
  • longevity readiness

Assessment focuses on outcomes over time, not trends or intensity.

6. What Is Not Accepted as Evidence

On their own, the following are not sufficient:

  • single “best” images
  • heavily edited or filtered photos
  • testimonials or reviews
  • certificates or training records

Assessment is outcome-led.

7. Accreditation Levels

Where conformity is demonstrated, accreditation may be granted at one of the following levels:

  • RFI Conformant
  • RFI Advanced
  • RFI Signature

Levels reflect measured degrees of conformity, not ranking or superiority.

8. Assessment & Decision

Applications are:

  • reviewed independently
  • assessed against published criteria
  • subject to governance-led decision-making

Outcomes may include:

  • accreditation granted
  • conditional accreditation
  • deferral
  • non-grant

All decisions are made in accordance with published governance processes to ensure fairness and consistency.

9. Licensed Use

Where accreditation is granted:

  • licensed reference to the RFI may be permitted
  • approved wording and marks may be used
  • use is time-limited and subject to renewal

Licensed use is governed by separate Licensed Use Terms.

10. Renewal & Ongoing Review

Accreditation is not permanent.

Renewal:

  • is typically required every 12 months
  • requires a short declaration and updated evidence

Failure to renew results in expiry of licensed use.

11. Misuse & Enforcement

Misrepresentation or unauthorised use of the RFI may result in:

  • correction requests
  • suspension or withdrawal
  • enforcement action

Clear rules protect the integrity of the standard.

12. Before You Apply — Final Check

Before submitting an application, consider:

  • Does your work prioritise wearability and longevity?
  • Are you comfortable submitting representative evidence?
  • Do you understand that accreditation is reviewed and time-limited?

If so, you may wish to proceed.
