Application Requirements (Checklist)
Qelvea Refined Finish Index™
Use this checklist to confirm readiness before applying for accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI).
Accreditation reflects conformity with a private professional standard and is subject to assessment. Approval is not automatic.
Eligibility Check
Before applying, confirm that:
☐ You are an individual practitioner or studio operating within professional beauty services
☐ You provide services relevant to the scope applied for (e.g. lashes or brows)
☐ You are applying for specific services, not your practice as a whole
☐ You understand that accreditation is time-limited and reviewed
Professional Approach
Confirm that your approach aligns with the intent of the RFI:
☐ You prioritise wearability and longevity, not only day-of appearance
☐ You make intentional decisions around structure, balance, and restraint
☐ You consider how results soften, settle, and perform over time
☐ You are comfortable explaining why choices are made, not just what was done
Evidence Readiness
You should be prepared to submit representative outcome evidence.
Confirm that you can provide:
☐ 2–3 case sets per service type (recommended)
☐ Each case set includes:
- ☐ a before image
- ☐ an immediate after image
- ☐ an in-wear image (showing how the result settles over time)
☐ Evidence is recent, anonymised, and representative of normal work
☐ Images are unfiltered or minimally edited
☐ Evidence reflects consistency, not isolated “best” results
What You Do Not Need to Submit
The following are not required and will not be assessed:
☐ Training certificates
☐ Qualifications
☐ Testimonials or reviews
☐ Marketing images alone
Assessment is outcome-led, not credential-based.
Governance & Expectations
Before applying, confirm that you understand:
☐ Accreditation is not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee
☐ The RFI is a private professional standard, not a regulatory scheme
☐ Licensed use is permitted only if accreditation is granted
☐ Use of the RFI is governed by Licensed Use Terms
☐ Misrepresentation may result in withdrawal or enforcement
Renewal Awareness
Confirm that you are aware:
☐ Accreditation is typically renewed every 12 months
☐ Renewal requires a short declaration and updated evidence
☐ Failure to renew results in expiry of licensed use
Final Readiness Check
Before proceeding, ask yourself:
☐ Does my work reflect how results are designed to wear over time?
☐ Am I comfortable with independent review of representative outcomes?
☐ Do I understand that accreditation clarifies my approach rather than promotes it?
If you can answer yes to these questions, you may be ready to apply.
