How to Apply

Qelvea Refined Finish Index™

Applying for accreditation under the Qelvea Refined Finish Index™ (RFI) is a structured, outcome-led process.

This page explains each step so you know what to expect before you begin.

Accreditation reflects conformity with a private professional standard and is subject to assessment. Approval is not automatic.

Step 1: Understand the Standard

Before applying, we recommend reviewing:

  • what the Refined Finish Index™ assesses
  • who the standard is for (and not for)
  • how outcomes are reviewed over time

The RFI is designed for professionals who prioritise refinement, wearability, and longevity, rather than day-of impact alone.

Step 2: Check Your Readiness

Before submitting an application, ensure that:

  • you are applying for specific services (e.g. lashes or brows)
  • your work is designed to wear well over time
  • you can provide representative outcome evidence
  • you understand that accreditation is time-limited and reviewed

A full readiness checklist is available separately.

Step 3: Prepare Your Evidence

Applications are supported by outcome evidence, not qualifications.

You will be asked to submit:

  • a short application form
  • representative case sets for each service applied for

Each case set typically includes:

  • a before image
  • an immediate after image
  • an in-wear image showing how the result settles over time

Evidence should be recent, anonymised, and representative of normal work.

Step 4: Submit Your Application

Once ready, complete the application form and upload your evidence.

Submission of an application:

  • does not guarantee accreditation
  • does not create a right to approval
  • confirms agreement with published terms and policies

Applications are reviewed in accordance with defined governance procedures.

Step 5: Assessment & Decision

Following submission:

  • evidence is reviewed against published RFI criteria
  • assessment focuses on outcomes over time
  • a governance-led decision is made

Possible outcomes include accreditation being granted, deferred, or not granted.

You will be notified of the outcome and any next steps.

After You Apply

If accreditation is granted:

  • scope, level, and validity are confirmed
  • licensed use guidance is provided
  • renewal requirements are explained

If accreditation is not granted, the decision reflects assessment against the standard only.

Important Notes

  • Accreditation is not a certification or endorsement
  • The RFI is a private professional standard
  • Licensed use is permitted only while accreditation is valid
  • Renewal is required to maintain licensed reference
